Asheville Camino del Norte
Welcome to the Asheville Camino del Norte!
I am leading this group hike on Wednesday April 24 for Carolina Mountain Club.
This ten-mile hike through parts of Asheville will highlight the following:
Basilica of St. Lawrence 
Quirky AVL house 
Grove Park Inn

**Quirky houses in Asheville,
**The Grove Park Inn, where you can get a cafe con leche, though I suggest that you just order coffee,
** Beaver Lake – see the photo at the top of the page,
**University of North Carolina at Asheville, and
**The Basilica of St. Lawrence.
We will meet at Harris Teeter (136 Merriman Ave. in Asheville) on the far right end as you have your back to the store entrance. This corner is adjacent to the AAA building but still on the Harris Teeter side. We will leave at 9 am, so plan to come at least 10 minutes early.
There’s no need for reservations. This is a show and go. You show up at the right time and the right place, you go.
Please bring a pack with a rain jacket, a warm layer, water, snacks and a lunch. You can buy lunch at Harris Teeter before the hike. Bring cash!
We’ll stop at the Grove Park Inn for coffee, lunch someplace on the UNCA campus as a minimum and the Basilica for a quick look.
